THE ENVELOPE

INT. CAR - NIGHT

A man assigned to follow a woman is caught off guard and help captive in his car by her.

HASSAN MICHAELS (40) is in passenger seat. He has a CELL PHONE to his ear. We can hear it ringing.

There’s no answer.

HASSAN

Where are you?

A FIGURE pops up from behind him and points a GUN to his temple. Her name is JESSIE, she’s wearing a HOODED SHIRT.

JESSIE

Who are you and why are you following me.

Hassan attempts to turn around.

JESSIE

Don’t.

HASSAN

I being accused of following you. The least you can do is let me see your face.

JESSIE

Don’t play dumb you know who I am. I’m trying to find out who you are and what you want with me.

He attempts to turn.

JESSIE

Last warning. Next time your brains get a clear view of the window.

HASSAN

I was going to grab something out of the glove compartment.

JESSIE

I bet.

HASSAN

No its not what you think. Everything you want to know. Its in an envelope inside the glove compartment.

JESSIE

You think I’m stupid?

HASSAN

I swear.

Jessie contemplates.

JESSIE

Ok grab it.

Hassan attempts to move.

JESSIE

Slowly.

Hassan moves slower. He opens the Glove Compartement and pulls out a large Manilla Envelope. He leans it over his shoulder and hands it to Jessie.

HASSAN

I can’t tell you anything but everything you want to know is all in the envelope.

Jessie looks at the envelope.

JESSIE

Phone.

HASSAN

What?

JESSIE

Let me see your phone.

Hassan grabs his phone and hands it back toward Jessie who snatches it.

She goes into google maps and begins typing.

She hands the phone back to Hassan.

HASSAN

What’s this?

JESSIE

The location where you can find your partner.

She opens the backseat of the car.

JESSIE

Don’t follow me again.

She exits the car and closes the door.

Hassan takes a deep breath.
